5th gen fuel injection install?

Anyone here ever attempt a fuel injection swap from a 5th dx/lx to a 4th gen dx????

Both have the same block/head combo and the main difference seems to be the multi-port injection set-up.

I'm thinking that a complete swap of a 5th gen system (manifold to throttle body, plus wiring and ECU) would offer a reasonable HP increase and still allow for legal emissions.

Any thoughts?

Please keep in mind that I have a limited budget, must keep the car emissions legal and stay within the confines of SCCA street prepared rules.

You do not want the 5th gen manifold on there. I'm pretty sure the 5th gen manifold works with the 5th gen ECU, and someone told me that the fuel delivery from the injectors is different too.

The best thing you could do for CSP would be to just get the 4th gen Si manifold and all the realted parts and put it on there. Since it all came fromt he same yearage of car there is no second guessing. This should help you out on the wiring.

If you want more performance after that recommned just having I/H/E done, maybe adding like a AEM fuel system or beef up your ingition a little bit. I'm pretty sure thats all legal in CSP. If you really wanna gain some power get a Si tranny i'm pretty sure this is legal also. If you have any more questions dealin with SCCA lemme know i might be able to help you

well, you can use the 5th gen setup, as long as you use 4th gen injectors....but the more common route is to use the MPFI setup off of a 4th gen si...
